How do I go about restringing a Lionel 264 forklift? Where does the string with the spring that's soldered attach, and where does the other string end up being attached? Any photos of the mechanism would be appreciated...

Thanks - I have the diagram, but it's a bit confusing - I'm hoping someone who's done this before can walk me through what goes where, and if someone has pictures of under the hood, that would really be great.
Anybody have some helpful tips and/or pictures showing how the 264 stringing is supposed to look?
Here are some pics I took. I did my repair several years ago. The accessory works fine.
The white string (picture two) is knotted to the spring which is soldered to the arm. The other end of the white string is tied to the hole with the glue glob in the bracket in the third picture.
The black drive string is crimped as shown on the drive arm. It is then wrapped around the drive wheel (I believe 1 and a half times) then it is tied to the drive return spring (pulled to the correct length). The drive return spring is connected to the same hole with the glue glob from the white spring.
I hope this helps.

Had to redo the short piece of line - luckily, my dad had a roll of fishing line from he 50s that he gave to me for just such an emergency. Loader works properly, just have to keep the voltage at just under 14 volts or the long line wants to leap off the track it runs in.
