I picked this up at a TCA meet last month as a real junker. Reworked it on the cheap, used only what I had handy.
The engine is a Lionel 262 from about 1931-32. When Assembled, the broken frame seems pretty solid (for now). The tender is an American Flyer 3189 from the spares box.

Talking to one of the guys at the shop last week and he said we had some repro stanchions and a 262 pilot somewhere. A little digging around and they were found under the work bench.
Added three more pictures showing the hand made rear handrails with repro stanchions, the repro pilot and AF decals added to the tender. A bit of a ******* child, but I like the way it turned out.
