Review of RailKing Reading Steel Caboose
This RailKing #30-7017F Reading Steel caboose is a very nice rendition of the Reading Class NML northeastern style caboose built in 1941 by the Reading Shops. Road number is 92911. The RailKing model has full lighted interior, separately applied handrails and end marker lamps. This Class NML caboose was part of road number series 92880-92929.
The model is painted bright red with a dark red roof. Lettering on the sides includes NML Blt. 9-41.

That is a nice looking caboose. I don't do Reading on my layout, but it surely is an attractive thing.

Yup, nice model for sure.
Not to count rivets but I see something on the Original that is missing on the model.
Not sure if it carries to other models as well...
The curved handrails on the sides of the original have a brace at midpoint.
The rails on the ends have a sort of loop at top outer corner.
It would be hard to make those from steel wire and that is effectively what the model uses for handrail.
Very beautiful caboose, would go great with my Reading T-1 steam engine for the caboose for that train.
