Williams 3214 NYC "Pacemaker" single door boxcar. The box is marked "The Crown Edition Line"

This model is a very basic "O" scale single door boxcar that was made in China. The model has metal non-sprung trucks.  The stamped metal underframe has some detail including a "brake cylinder". The overall length of the body is 10 inches which would be 40 scale feet.

Comments: The brake cylinder mounted on the underside does not appear to be correct for this car.

Note: This model will be upgraded with modified brake gear and steps later.

Photos show the original boxcar model as built.

Correct and one of first cars AMT made from that mold was a Pacemaker box car in 1952.  Then in the 80's Franks Roundhouse used that mold and made the Pacemaker boxcar with 21 different road numbers.  Neither the AMT nor the Franks Roundhouse cars had the brake reservoir.

Here are photos of the Williams boxcar stamped metal underframe and brake cylinder.

The underframe detail is shown.  This detail has been removed from the car and will be replaced with a more detailed brake system at a later date.

The Williams "brake cylinder" will be used on a scratchbuilt flatcar that is dated from the 1930s.
