Rewire 675 smoke question | O Gauge Railroading On Line Forum

Hi had to rebuild a e unit for 675 original the wire came off for smoke unit and was wondering how to fix it couldn't find clear pics online.not sure if that nub is anything. thanks in advance. Tom

Thanks wire is off smoke unit don't know where it attaches on smoke housing. I'll try pic again.

It is a crimped connection to the heater assembly. You are best to replace the 671-225 heater assembly and refresh the 671-212 smoke unit lining available from most postwar parts dealers. While you are at it, you might as well add a 2026-44 spring between the piston and smoke chamber.
