Hello everyone. I need some help from you guys. I am starting to install some risers on my bench work. What I need to know is my layout is a flat table and I need to raise the track. So I got some Woodland Scenics risers to test them on the layout. I can raise the track 7 1/2" Do I have enough clearance or do I need to go higher. I have all the cars to test with but they are put away and I have to go into the hospital on Thursday to have 2 valves replaced in my heart so I wont be able to take them out. So Thanks for your tips Scot One more question or do I just need to build the risers?

Scot, 7 1/2" should be enough even for the tallest scale cars. Even with the thickness of the track, you will still have 7". Best wishes on the surgery.
Hi Scott just for info I just measured a Lionel tunnel portal, one of the plastic type and it's 5 3/4 inches to the top of the arch and has a 4 1/4 inch width at the bottom. So like Elliot said that's high.
