mr Parri created 30 kits so these are not frequently seen. I had a master craftsmen build my three sets last year. Here is the first one being decaled with a yoder model in the background. NYC switched to their red color in the later 1940's hence I painted the Parri models in that shade. They will ride on Vulcan trucks from rich yoder.

Who is the craftsman? I might have some work for them.
my email is in my profile; he is out here on the left coast.
I did the decals for these cars years before yoder brought his out and then he used my artwork for these cars. I must have painted over a dozen of the parri cars and also built a number of the kits.
Nice job Brad. I had the pleasure of visiting Bob Parri in Greensburg, PA. At the time he was building PRR H21a hopper cars. With dozens and dozens of pre-fabricated parts on his bench he could complete a hopper car in a work day. Bob was a former steel worker. Seeing how much material and labor went into each car one readily understood why this was a business of love - not one for putting food on the table or a roof over his head. Though I missed out in buying one of Bob's container gons at the time, I was able to buy one of Rich Yoder's similar prototype cars. Below is a photo of the LV prototype car Lee Turner painted and weathered for me.

Nice, Brad.
I just had to have a read of this thread. The title is intriguing.
I was expecting to see a scene from somewhere in Venice.
The Parri cars that I have are very well built. Certianly as well as any of the importers cars.
