Rock Island Paint Color Matches? | O Gauge Railroading On Line Forum

With Testors discontinuing the Floquil color line, what is a modeler to do! I am specifically looking for the correct colors for the classic Rock Island scheme of maroon and red/orange? What colors would work best for this? I looked through the Scalecoat colors and I can't find what I am looking for. Correct me if I am wrong too, but the original maroon is lighter than the later maroon that ended up on all the CRIP locos eventually in the 60's and 70's.

TCP-260 Rock Island Maroon

You'll probably discover it's a more accurate color, also. Tru-Color does take a little getting used to.
