Skip Natoli's article in the December 2017 issue of O Gauge Railroading magazine has garnered a lot of interest beyond this forum and the hobby.
Consequently I'm posting this article reprint here for everyone to enjoy.

In a word...."WOW!"
I just read the article about Skip's Polar Express layout last night. It's a dandy indeed!! Congratulations, Skip!!
NICE.
Thanks Rich since have not got over to Barns and Nobel yet to pick up a copy. Local Toy Train Shop no loner carries ORG.
Wow!!! I want one!
I encourage everyone to go look at Trainworx other threads about this layout over the past 6 months. They show the making of and a bunch more pictures of it afterwards, including a total shot of it from a distance. It is truly a striking, beautiful layout and I have no doubt many other like it will be sold. It definitely sells itself.
...but only if you beleive
I beleive oh boy I really beleive.A big locomotive comes down the street like that. You better beleive.I just wish they would make a part 2.This is the one movie that shocked me.My mother has this movie. While walking through the house I noticed her watching the movie. So I said"You watching the polar express but I thought you did not like trains. She looked at me and said"I never said I did not like trains!"I was just in shock.I think I stood there for a few minutes.Rich great cover page the scale poplar express looks so cool!!
Funny how the Polar Express has become such a popular and integral part of the Xmas season. Something the whole family can enjoy without shock & awe. Love it. Lost my tape of it that I had. Loaned it to someone.
Rob, That's a cool video.
Jim, I just wish I had known. We were going through the tapes and DVDs a couple months ago, and realized we had both a tape and DVD of the Polar Express. I carried a box of tapes down to St. Vincent de Paul's, including the Polar Express. Maybe you can find it still there.
Skip's layout article MADE the Christmas edition this year very enjoyable! Good stuff!
Outstanding layout AND article!

The blog sounds like a great idea, Dorcie!
I'll root for the Astros too! I'm glad they moved to the American League. That was one less good team beating up on my Pirates in the standings!
Its a fantastic article! Skip is one the first class icons on our forum and i hope to meet him someday.
Somewhere in the OGR archives is his other Christmas layout, i like that one too!
As I said in another thread recently, Skip is becoming "Mr. Christmas" around here!
Followed through and posted on my blog focusing on this OGR article... check it out here: OGR Magazine December Cover Issue
