I pulled one out that I bought a year ago. It ran fine in conventional mode. Then, I tried DCS. It just sat there, dark and silent. Some panic. I was using a DCS remote commander. Apparently, the factory or the retailer added it to a DCS system, so it now had a DCS address that the remote commander doesn't recognize. I brought out a TIU; tested it and all is well.

I didn't have an operable layout until now, so this locomotive sat in a box for a year. Happy to say, it has no problems.
