You bet.  On a mountain railroad -- especially on single track like Tehachapi -- where there is a trackage rights agreement, the tennant railroad and the owner railroad sometimes have to provide helper service to the other railroad.

 

Helping a foreign line train is outside the scope of normal duties and the crew which was helping got an extra day's pay.  Have you received their penalty claims yet, Ron?   I like that nice exhaust on your good-looking SP engine.
