The Z-stuff site has skimpy info on connecting the z100s to the SC-1 or SC-2 device. First, in order to get the LEDs to operate, the button control needs to be wired in, it isn't really optional, is it? Second, the picture misleads me to thinking that these attach on the ACC portion of the SC-1. Do they or do they connect in the 1st 4 Switch positions.

Thanks

Ralph

On an SC-2 you can use all 6 positions although the switch on the 1st position will sometimes creep back after it is switched.  I believe there is a resistor that c an be wired between the L and R on the switch to keep the lights working, but I haven't tried it.  One of the electrical gurus can probably answer that. Program the SC-2 for all switches.

Hi Ralph:

I have 1 Ross and 2 Gargraves switches with DZ-1000 switch machines wired through SC-1’s.  Yes, I also wired up the control buttons because I couldn’t get them to work without the control buttons.  However, as it turns out, the lights on the controllers are useful to help indicate switch position.  And I did wire them to the switch terminals (positions 1-4) and not the accessory terminals (#5 & 6) on the SC-1.

HTH,

Bill

If you ever have a problem wiring a Z-Stuff product shoot Dennis Zander at Z-Stuff an e-mail.  I did when I had a problem wiring four of his IR detectors across my double track main line to activate the MTH cross buck crossing signal light and bell.  Dennis sent me a straight forward wiring diagram that worked perfectly.  Made me a satisfied customer.
