Found this announcement on a passenger car list I'm a member of:

"Minuteman Scale Modela has purchased Scalecoat Model Paint. We will be moving the company to our shop in New Hampshire over the next week. If you would like to place an order please call 978-302-4524 or email info@minutemanscalemodels.com"

The announcement is on their Facebook page here:

Can't say I know anything about these folks but its good to here the paint will continue. Perhaps there is hope for the rest of the Weaver line to be picked up by somebody.

I have NEVER seen that paint for sale anywhere, in a shop, or ?  If it is available in

rattle cans, I should check it out, as I don't like airbrushing, either.  I wonder if it depends of the wholesaler these shops get stuff from, as a lot of them seemed to just carry narrow lines.  (Luckily, with mostly freelance rolling stock I need to paint, I don't need a lot of prototype matching colors, but there are occasions)

Yes it does come in rattle cans which is a big advantage for me as I don't like dealing with an air brush either.  The paint has always been a good product!

I received a surprise package from Minuteman today.

Entirely unexpected and forgotten, my Weaver scalecoat order from last April or May showed up on my doorstep today.

Scalecoat paints and thinners in new Minuteman packaging!

(The thinner had leaked in shipping and saturated the packaging and styrofoam Presenting me with a sticky, smelly mess.  But I am still surprised and pleased to get it.)

You might want to let them know about that in a helpful constructive manner - I've had that happen with a resin supplier once where a shipment leaked.  After I called them and sent them a photo they went back and changed their packing procedures and sealing systems to ensure it not happening again - safe shipping of any sort of chemical based material is a real concern.

They also sent me replacement materials.

My thoughts exactly.

When I thought I wouldn't be able to get more, I jumped at getting two cans of caboose red, just in case one can went bad, for my caboose build. Their paint looked great when I used it, too.
