Over on the scenery forum, there was talk about a seedier style deco building, so at about 6:00 PM today, we started on responding to this call for action by developing a new model. Three hours later - here is Scuttlebutts - A Gentleman's Club.

Scuttlebutts is 5.00" across the front, 4.50" deep and 6.00" tall to the top of the cornice. Like all River Leaf kits it is constructed of super sturdy 1/4" MDF. This version has stucco side and back walls, two frosted entrance windows and a full size window with "worker" silhouette in etched glass. The business name is engraved with raised letters for easy painting.

For a limited time, you can order Scuttlebutts for $64.95 with FREE SHIPPING until July 17, 2015. Your kit includes the structure components, doors, windows, steps, cornice and overhang, the "Scuttlebutts" signage and the full length frosted glass dancer.

This building is a snap to build for experienced modelers and beginners. We built this in about one hour after cutting the parts.

Scuttlebutts will be available for website ordering later tonight. If you want to order now - email me - andreemd@gmail.com.

Review of Scuttlebutts,

Very nice and easy to put together.  It didn't take long to glue the sides and roof together.  Per instructions did painting next and that took some time as I tried different mortar techniques and rain staining.  Added some extras to the kit like the LED backlight behind the dancer silhouette and the light above the Scuttlebutts sign, designed an interior backdrop because you can see in through the dancer silhouette.  All in all this was a fun project and was very easy to put together and the detail is very good.

My wife gave it thumbs up also.
