Hello y'all,

I recently purchased an Overland Models (Brass) N&W Type Cinder. There is a Great Northern decal (see attached picture) on the front of it, and I would like to remove it. Seeing that this is brass, is it possible to remove the decal? If not, can I paint over it, maybe using Tamiya spray paint?  Any help is greatly appreciated!

Regards,

Greg

Probably depends on how they applied it. If they just slid it off the paper and let it dry. Something as simple as burnishing some masking tape on it might lift it right off. If they used just a setting solution. You may be able to loosen it with Solvaset or the like. Let it sit for a bit and try a soft rubber eraser on it.  Worst case scenario. If they cleared over it. Some fine sandpaper would probably remove it. Just touch it up with some spray paint. If you are willing to paint over it. A few minutes with some sandpaper will look better than multiple coats of paint trying to hide it.
