I love seeing all these pictures, and even though a lot of these stations are "standard off the shelf" models, they don't maintain that out of the box look. The creativity in how each has modified it to make it their own is excellent with the details, signage, and figures and scenes. Really great stuff!

Scott - thanks for the info. The additional details you and others have added make your stations look very real.
Thanks to everyone for sharing. Great pictures and fits right in with the Christmas Holiday Season.

I removed the service bay on the right side of the center entrance on a K-line service station so it would fit in the narrow space between the tracks and the front edge of the layout. By carefully cutting and assembling I was able to keep the original factory paint job. A couple vintage Tootsietoys have pulled in for service.

I have the Berkshire Valley Mobil kit and love it but I wanted to try my hand at something different than a kit. I love gas stations and started out scratch building the Sinclair station from the 30's. I was only going to build the station with one stall because of the space I had. Then Chris from Miller Engineering came out with the wonderful Shell neon. Well before I painted the Sinclair station I switched to a Shell Station. I will at some later date build my Sinclair Gas Station. Don

Some really great bashes and custom gas station. Then there's Erik and his unbelievably believably realistic modelling and and photography.

I have this Walther's service station - one of the first buildings I ever tried to "super detail" for the layout! Mine is now a Dinoco station, and I have an AutomotionFX roadway set-up so cars can pull in and stop for a fill-up as they circle the layout.

frizzinbee - looks like the Griswolds needed a fill up.
The detailing some of you have added makes these stations really pop. The scratch build and kit ones are works of art. Great looking stations all.

Frizzinbee, I like how you have Jenny's iconic phone number written on the walls of the restroom, LOL.
I wonder how many times customers at your gas station have called her
This is my Marx Skyview Parking, which is too big for my layout (as of now). I never had one as a kid, so when I saw it in a Minneapolis resale shop back in '08, I had to get it. I always liked these for the great litho, and for the ramp down from the top floor, which would really make your toy cars zoom out. I picked up some of the people and accessories separately.

jay jay - Thanks, I was hoping to see some Marx/Superior/Sears tin litho stations. Yours looks like new. I had one as a kid, just can't remember for sure which one.
