Thanks, just learned about those recently, then forgot already.

Searching quickly, I struck out yesterday, but remember now, that's where it began was 70's tin before O, and TCA had a page or two on those.

Its not exactly like pulling cast trucks that are still geared, but dead. But same principle, a heavy car.  Assuming power isn't an issue, the one with the lowest mounted, shortest wheel to coupler mount & coupler length should pull smoother with less string-line side forces. Pilot and trailing wheels do the same, being light they sometimes need to be sprung/limited more against string-line ride up when double heading with a heavier dummy (in other gauges). A longer wheelbase usually helps limit heavy nosing up and down too.

I'd likely match any steeple or box cabs up..

Got a loooong tunnel?   A bunch of short ones. A steam, or even diesel dummy, for an electric to tow, would be a fun twist. All you really need to do is yank a dead motor out of something and maybe fab a coupler some.

No tunnel? "Clean air zone, 'cept the ozone" .

My Williams 408 has 2 Super Motors activated by a modern E unit.   The installation was prior to my ownership.   I think Hojack can enlighten you fully on Williams SG.  I recall him telling me that Williams eventually offered their own can motors and chassis for their SG engines.

Here's the complete Williams State set, offered I think in 1978?
