I ordered an MTH 20-21173-1 Chessie SD40-2 Proto 3 a few weeks ago. Any idea how long it takes to arrive?

Ordered from who ?
USPS track order from Philadelphia to Detroit took six weeks after they had it in their hands. UPS and FedEx are moving with only a few days delay on other orders.
I have been waiting since april 30 for an order of clothes from Amazon.com shipped by usps. They show it "arriving late" due to shipping backlog and won't do anything as long as it shows in transit.
Mth.. but ordered thru a hobby shop near me in canton ohio
I placed 2 orders within the same hour on Gryzboski's website- the physical location is about 1.5hours from me. The orders were scanned in at the same post office at the same time- one made it by the next day and the other one took 2 and a half weeks! At one point, it was in Cincinnati, Ohio! After just a few days passed- and before it was in Cincinnati, I emailed Gryzboskis, gota prompt reply saying that the item needed to be rescanned into the system and that recently another Pennsylvania customer had his order go to Florida before heading back to PA....
Contact the hobby shopif something seems amiss, i.e. in-transit for 3 days straight with nothing in between, or if it should've arrived 5-7 days ago. USPS listed the expected delays for each shipping service on their website but it's been my experience those sated delays are usually doubled or tripled. Regarding FedEx or UPS- I haven't had an issue...(fingers crossed!)
Said hasn't shipped from mth yet I really appreciate all the advice and help on this forum ..had a lionel layout and a couple mth this was the proto1 days growing up with my family we grew up dad took it down my late mother passed last july me and my fiance inherited house I'm In process of redoing basement gonna do another layout here soon as I get floor done and some clutter out
My experience with the postal service has been universally good. And I get a lot of packages. Just saying.
My experience with the USPS has been a mixed bag. UPS more reliable shipper for me!
Get used to the 'New Normal' guys. COVID-19 strikes again - in a different way!
I’ve been selling a bunch of stuff on eBay and FedEx and the USPS are doing a pretty good job. Priority Mail is about 3-4 days slow cross country, but it gets there.

ajzend - Pity anyone who's shipping - via the Postal Service - across the U.S./Canada border these days. Have heard that it's taking anywhere from 10-16 days just to get Customs Clearance, the delay apparently attributable to COVID-19.

I've made about 100 USPS shipments this year on eBay items. I've had only one inquiry about a late shipment that took two weeks.

I would suggest to call the dealer who you placed your order with
Dealer probably did not have it in stock...has to get it from MTH...then ship to you. A lot of them operate that way.
