Bruce is a train doctor.  Recently he repaired my MTH J611 (MTH 20-3630-1).  I purchased it new in November, 2016. Within a few weeks of running it, it started stopping and starting then stopped altogether. The LHS accepted it for warranty repairs. I'll admit I don't run it often but a month or so ago it started to stop as it entered turns. I contacted Bruce for the first time and sent him a short video of the engine doing its thing. He suspected it was a problem with the drawbar. Fortunately he lives within an hours drive into the countryside (saved the cost and hassle of shipping!)  so we took it to him. But for the delay in getting parts from MTH, he fixed it quickly.  It was a bad drawbar...it appeared to have been soldered previously...he thought I may have bought it used. I suspect the warranty repair was the culprit. As an added bonus, he built an interface to be used between my transformer and the tracks which included fuses and those thingees that help with the DCS signal.  He was prompt, did excellent work, explained everything thoroughly and included a smoke unit rebuild, lubrication and a check of the health of the engine overall.  Great, prompt service. He services Lionel as well and has a superb layout which allowed me to test the engine to ensure for myself everything was A-OK.  I'm very pleased he's around and would recommend him without reservation.  He's an OGR Forum member also.

Thanks.
