I just wanted to share this with everyone here..( btw this is not a shamless plug)....I was trully speechless.

I do not have a hobby shop close that carries a good ogauge selection. The nearest one is over 2 hours away. Geat shop great owner, but to much of a hassle to get to with traffic and all. So when I need or just want somthing they dont carry. I use trainworlds online site. Easy to navigate, categorized well, plus resonable prices. I have ordered several lionel items from trainworld over the last year. Every order arrived on time and was very well boxed by them. Placing my order was quick and hassle free, plus twice I got a really great deal on a closeout or special promo that they were offering.

As we all know not enough is credited sometimes when we have a great in house or online shopping exsperiance. Not to mention great customer service by a hobby shop. So one day after seeing a facebook posting of theirs I commented and gave them a nice review. I did this humbly out of my own heart. Nothing exaggerated,no b.s. just the honest truth about my experience ordering from them and to thank them.

Today out of the blue a big long box was at my door. Why? I could not remember ordering anymore trains. I took it inside opened it up and to my surprise this is what was in the box. all I can say is WOW THANK YOU TO THE BIANCO FAMILLY!!!! I do not deserve this, I was speachless. These Items, especially the posters are just fantastic. you really are making the hobby buying experience great again.

These quick pictures are of the company letter hand signed by ken jr. thanking me and all the free stuff I recived from them for my  little review. Again this was not necessary, but I am truly honored. THANKS AGAIN TRAINWORLD! Roger

I can't imagine that any brick and mortar stores do all that well with today's overhead and all costs. I think any modern backer would run.

We are fortunate to have stores like this. Beyond that, they are one of the very best. This post helps show this to others now. Congrats to both parties!

I got my reward when they did a blow out price on a MTH 2 rail engine. So I also say thanks again to Trainworld.

My first Lionel trains purchase was in the early 80's from them.   Bought a MPC Santa Fe diesel engine and about 6 freight cars.    All the cars were the long 'reefer' type box cars, only $9.99 each brand new!    Later, bought the large Atlas O-scale 2-stall engine house for about $19, although it was a little too domineering on my O27 layout.    Was still learning about the differences between O, O27, and O-scale.   Some of my older youtube channel videos show these items.

That is the best kind of advertising you can get - bar none!

I had a really lousy experience with TW some years ago. Left a really bad taste in my mouth and vowed never again.

I was wanting to pick up one of the Bachmann/Williams Toronoto trolley cars at York some years ago. TW had these at $100 a car while nearby dealers had these for twice this amount. Regardless of my opinions on TW at the time, I was certainly buying it from them at THAT price!

The trolley was great. No problems, looked good, ran great. As mentioned here by several folks, my car was one of several that had the trucks crumble due to zinc rot. I got in touch with Bachmann and explained that I paid cash and did not have a receipt, despite buying it at the York TCA show that year.

Bachmann basically told me unless I had a receipt, they weren't going to help me.

I send an email to Ken at TW and explained the issue. I was fully expecting to be told to (Nicely!) "get lost". Ken responded and said he could absolutely send me a receipt but requested I send the car back to him. I packed it up and sent it to him at the store and figured he may be able to have someone swap the trucks out, etc.

A couple days later, I get my receipt from Ken, dated the current date and essentially giving me another year's warranty. Even better, and more incredible, Ken gave me a BRAND NEW trolley to replace my bad one.

While I prefer to support my local guy as much as possible, in the rare event I hit the "innerweb" and shop for trains, Ken is my first stop now.

I have a midwest chip on my shoulder when it comes to buying from the east coast.  I'm into photography and over the last twenty years I've had quite a few dealings with the NYC photography vendors.  Great prices but their customer service ranges from garden variety rudeness to outright hostility.  When I got into O-gauge, I placed orders with Trainworld and expected more of the same.  WRONG!  They've been awesome.  Even the few times I've been forced to call about something, they've been nice as can be.  Never had an issue.  Thanks!

Trainworld was great with me a few times also. They even called me (I live in California) regarding shipping, and an out-of-stock item I ordered - not once, but twice (on separate occasions) to verify I was ok with the situation. One time was on a weekend even. Great customer service so far and never had a problem with an order.
