I believe that this model is a Plasticville Model, but I am not sure. I got this and many other trains and items for helping my sister's neighbor dismantle his layout. The only thing I can find about this model is some one on e-bay selling one that says it is Plasticville. (search O-S-Gauge-Lot-Of-2-Built-Plasticville-Buildings-Church-Diner-In-Need-Of-TLC). I will have to spruce this church up as I did the other one. You can always make something look better. For this one, I added pews and a mural inside as the doors would be open. It did not look right being empty.

Rick, I believe that yours is either a Marx Church, or the K-Line clone. They've been produced since 1952 or thereabouts. Here is a photo of the original church with its box.

I think it is American Model Builders out of St. Louis that makes a very small and plain O scale church kit, that I don't like, especially the steeple, but it could be kitbashed.  I recently saw a number of small country churches that were well styled, in the Canadian Maritime provinces, such as the one at Peggy's Cove near Halifax in Nova Scotia (near the often visited light house there). I have an adobe style chapel for my western themed layout, but that won't work for most layouts that model eastern roads.

I can't take credit for this....one of our modular group members, Walt S, is an HO person who runs trains with us. His scenery work is true artistry. Here is his superdetailing of an old Plasticville church with accompanying church yard. Beautiful work!
