Here's a few shots of my Detroit Edison coal train.

The SD60 is a custom painted Lionel unit now in the Oakway Leasing scheme and the trailing unit is an MTH C30-7 (PS-1 now TMCC) in Burlington Northern "whiteface". Power consists like this were common on the GTW in the 1990s era that I model.

I've got about 40 of the MTH Detroit Edison coal tons and they all have the same road number so I haven't taken many photos of the cars themselves.

Anyway, here you go. Enjoy.

BTW, I really wish MTH, Atlas or Lionel (anybody!) would do some really nice, accurate, scale C30-7's!

FMC You and the Boston Metro Hi-Railers really have a WONDERTFUL series of coal drags.

FMC I was not sure if the first Video was at your home but VERY Nice job on the layout and I also really liked the dlow speed as your 15 car CSX Coal Drag started to climb the hill. Thank you for posting these GREAT Video's for us to enjoy!!!

Come on guys, how about some tinplate.  Some of MY prewar coal trains, all with an extra car.

1930 #310 "O" gauge "Twist" with 262 engine.

1938 #189W Coal Train with 225 engine.

1941 #828W Coal Master with 226 engine.

It's strange that the 1930 and 1941 sets have the same caboose.  I guess the more scale #2682 caboose would have looks too small behind those really large #3859 dump cars

Thank you. All the pictures and video are from the club. I am addicted to running coal drags.
