This power plant is a mulit fuel facility with coal directly conveyed from the mine and with Oil back up.

Photos of the Brunner Island Power Plant just north of York, PA.
It is owned by PP&L. I took these photos while working at the plant in 2010.

Pro Hobby very mice pictures of the Power Plant.
I had not seen that particular power plant before but have seen Three Mile Island power plant from the air many times as we landed at Harisburg.

Part of the BTS Cabin Creek Coal tipple is the on site power stations.

First off some amazing work. Pure art! I have been in search of a power plant model building for sometime. I neither have the skill nor do I possess the patience to do the work you guys have done.
Where can one buy a kit? It seems the only models of power plants are for HO. Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

My Power House complex was built using about 4 Korber kits.
It is made of of a Main Generating building, a small office structure on the left and a substation on the right and a Large Office building. One of the OGR members bought the Korber company a couple of years ago and you can buy direct from him at
My complex was put together and enhanced by Alan Graziano another OGR member,graz4tanks@aol.com
When you look at my pictures below you can see where Alan added water tanks, and Oil storage tanks, and added the large smoke stacks, weathered the buildings and did accent painting on the windows, simulated a boiler/generator inside the main building.
Alan is great to work with and is a real master at these buildings.
WOW! thats all I can say is wow! I wish I had a layout big enough! I love the stacks! It looks very realistic! I wish there were more options! I am not that skilled where I could make something as nice sat that. But if there were more options with regards to kits I may give it a try! Wouldn't mind having something like that on my layout. But then again I want to put an intermodal facility, a passenger facility, a power plant facility. A lot of stuff I want but only a 4x8 layout to play with! Thanks for sharing!
