I have an old Lionel fan type smoke unit. I would like to use it for smoke from a campfire. How should I connect it to do this? The unit has the number 619-FSMU-A on the black cover. There are 3 wires in a connector: green, grey and orange. If I can use it as I want, what are the proper connections?

Thanks for any help you can give.

That's a smoke unit that is used with the AC regulator, so it has an 8 ohm resistor.  If you want to use it with accessory power, you'll have to change the resistor.

Truthfully, a smoke unit with this capacity will make it more like a bonfire than a campfire.  You might consider something like a Seuthe smoke unit under the camp fire for a more realistic look.

I had some time today so I tilled through my parts stash and found ( I think) a regulator module.
Its marked 691-ACRG along the edge. There are a brown, black, red, another black and a black with a brown stripe. If I don't use it for a campfire, what is the hookup for something else? On the bottom the wires are marked S, -,+, H-, H+, from left to right.

Any ideas on the hook up for it?

Thanks,

Jay
