Congratulations Sam and the rest of your club for a successful first open house.  You have come a long way in a short time.  Looks like those who came had a great time.

 

Very thoughtful to have the Thomas the tank set-up for the little ones.

 Hi Don.  The backdrop on the rear wall was painted by me from my home layout and was added to here at the club. The new one in the foreground was painted by a lady neighbor of one of the members who is a professional artist. She did a great job!

Looks like a great day. As a fellow club guy, its very rewarding as most that see the layout appreciate it, but is is a lot of work. How big is the layout and how many members do you have in the club?

At present we have only 6 active members which is why it has taken so long to get this layout up and running. Hopefully as more people see us we'll pick up more interested folks. Families are welcome and we are willing to teach the younger members.

 

On hand is an extensive lending library and videos for enjoyment of all.

 

 

...and yes, the N&W J Class is/was indeed one of Alex's with enhanced smoke!

Sam and his group done a fantastic job for us on Saturday.  I had a wonderful time and hope to go back in the near future. 

 

Sam, many thanks for the invite and hopefully this event can be held several times a year.

By the way Sam, It was nice to see a picture of your wife Barbara. This makes our hobby special when both a husband and wife are involved.

 Good to see you again Charles.  The brewery down at the end is having a benefit for a battered women's center in two weeks (Oct 26) so we plan to be open as well to catch some of their traffic!
