My MTH Premier Erie Alco PA will start up, but not move in either direction. I have exhausted the service manual and one directive is to adjust the "soft key" Any suggestions how I can get this thing running and get the "Lake Cities " moving? The passengers are complaining!

Has it ever worked properly ?
Is it coming up silent and responding to the Startup button ? Or are the sounds coming on as soon as it sees track power. If it misses the watchdog signal it will power up and not respond to the throttle as it thinks it’s in conventional mode. Usually pressing Start up again will bring it to life in command mode,

It would help us is to know the MTH Product Number. Otherwise we're simply making assumptions that my not be correct.
Do you know it? If not offhand can you find it?

Hi if your sure it uses soft keys on a remote then it has to be PS 2 5 volt or PS 2 3 volt board, could have 2 issues if it starts up but no sound and will not move, could have blown audio amp and engine could me locked in neutral, what is the item number 30- 20- ps 1 ps 2 3 or 5 volt!
