I drove into my first AF and after removing the brush plate these 2 tiny pins fell. What are they and where and how do they go? I don't seem to be having any luck on locating AF prewar motor diagrams. Any assistance is appreciated.

Those rivets are seated on top of the brush springs with the large flat end facing up towards the bottom of the brush.
They are the brush tube rivets that (sandwiched between the brush wire and spring) better distribute the spring forces and electrical load.
The flat head contacts the brush wire, the skinny part goes into the spring.

The 420 needs a front pilot wheel too. Do you have any recommendations for purchasing AF parts and for determining AF part numbers?
