Where do you get LED replacement bulbs for 022/072 switch lanterns? What is the part # to order? I understand you can also get LED replacement bulbs for the switch controller red and green bulbs. Same question.

I picked up this replacement bayonette base LED up at a show last spring for all my Lionel switches..
They're multidirectional, bright and cheap. I paid $1.50 each.
I have no idea who makes them but parts dealers at most local shows have them.
the one one the left is the LED. Also available with a screw base

JDA, you can get them from Town And Country hobbies. They cost $2 each or you can buy a box of 50 for $60 that's $1.20 a piece. They will split a box 25 screw & 25 bayonet. I just ordered 50. They have a web site. Hope this helps, Vic.
I have used the bulbs from TrainAidsA. Just got some today that I ordered a couple days ago. They seem to be less expensive than other linked bulbs above and are also 18 volt rated. Good to have if you are using command control and track power for your bulbs. Town & Country Hobby also has 18 volt bulbs and about the same price unless you get the 50 pack.
Thanks for the information.
Heres a store that I've used for your replacements. They have regular and LED Lionel equivalents.
I have bought from Town and Country and they will replace their burned out led bulbs and good service.I restock when I go to York.

The LED's mentioned above in a bayonette or screw base are directional. (light from one direction, usually the top) Not good in switches or the head is to large to fit under the switch cover..
The LED replacement lamps shown in the photo above are the same size a normal 18volt bulb and "multi-directional". that is, they shine no different then a incandecent 18 volt bulb.
