Any of you train aficionados in Southern Maryland? I moved gown here from the DC burbs for my job a couple of years ago and find the place bereft of much of anything. I'm near Hughesville.

I am in Southern Maryland..........but it is the Eastern Shore southern, NOT the Western Shore southern. Good luck, I am betting there are members over there.
When I worked for the navy I would go to Patuxent River NAS and would drop by Side Track Hobbies in Leonardtown. Store is much smaller now and mostly Tinplate, but still fun to visit when I'm down there. Mike's Train Shop is in Prince Frederick but I've never been there. There was a toy store in the back of the Hughesville Bargain Barn that had N and HO, not sure about O. The other two shops closed a long time ago.
Thanks Ron. I've dropped by Mike's and I'll check out the others especially behind the Bargain Barn.
Well, Al Rudman in Leonardtown at Sidetrack Hobbies is the man to see. As mentioned above he moved to a much smaller location with limited store hours. Also, he's pretty much all online sales these days.
He's a forum sponsor and at least could be a good resource for train info down in SoMd.
Thanks, John.
