QUESTION, Did any of you ever put a baffle over a speaker in a engine to increase sound? I am going to try to do this later on my new Atlas U23C diesel engine. Just isn't giving a whole lot o deep sounds. It sounds ok but seems to need a bit more boost.
What is a good baffle to use? Metal or Plastic? Thanks in advance.

Ones I've seen have been plastic. Easier to make to fit the often odd spaces inside a loco.
I use plastic pipe with a lid glued on, spray can lids, etc. Anything that will enclose the rear of the speaker as close to airtight as you can get.
GRJ is spot on with it needing to be air tight. Makes a world of difference.
