Any issues using a AS with a prewar standard gauge set? I can't see why there would be, but thought I'd ask. This will be my first prewar standard gauge set. It will be this year's Christmas set. Thanks
The ZW is a great transformer for standard gauge. Is this an original 385E engine or a MTH engine with modern electronics? If it is a modern engine, you want to use a TVS diode across the track lock-on. There are plenty of posts here on how to do that. What model ZW is it and has it been serviced lately? You specifically need to check the cords on older ZW transformers for rot that can create a dangerous short.
