Folks - only about 4 weeks to Spring York, and it promises to be an awesome one for standard gauge afficianados!
The Standard Gauge Module Association will have a 50 foot long layout and the Friday 7:30 show and tell breakfast
All our activities will be in the BLACK HALL. the layout, and the Friday 7:30 AM breakfast.
We will use the layout as a primary place for all of you to display your unique standard gauge trains, If we can get more tables we will add that to to mix.
So please - think now and set aside the pieces you plan to bring and display at the breakfast - and RUN if you dare! I expect that track time will be available throughout the entire meet. And remember - ALL are welcome.
As we will be delivering the 60 plus new Glenn SGMA tank cars at the meet, I would like to challenge those that are picking up to join us at the layout after the breakfast to run the 'worlds record Glenn tank standard gauge train'. So far I think the record is about 10 cars, but we will have about 50 plus being picked up at York, so we can crush that record. Also consider what motive power you may have that can handle it.
I'll be bringing along the first completed pair of my new F7's, so will have to ask their new owner if they want to see what they can do. Four motors, all metal construction, machined steel drive wheels, they should be able to do some damage.
Also, let us know if you want to meet for dinner, plans are preliminary now, last year we met on Weds and Thursday evenings, Friday may be open for most of us as well. The Detroit crowd (and a few of us) really like the German Hofbrauhaus that is due west of York, a likely choice for at least Wednesday evening.
One last thing - Black Hall has bathrooms and we will have a pretty good sitting area in the back of the hall, so feel free to linger, take a load off your feet, BS, whatever. We will have plenty of chairs available back there during the show. The ultimate York ManCave!

The last SGMA display was the high point of that York meet for me.

I can't wait to see what this display & layout will be.

Thank's for agreeing to set up at an Eastern Division meet once again.

PS. Please forgive some of the out of focus pictures; it's difficult to photograph the moving trains with a cell phone.

Jim,

If any photos or videos were made of the SGMA events, please post them on this forum and on the SGMA website.
