Recently my wife picked me up a $12.00 Hubley 470 truck at a local antique mall. The paint was almost gone it had no stakes for the bed and it was somewhat swaybacked. Today it looks a little different. The frame has been rebent to remove the swayback and the truck has been repainted and decaled for the REA. The bed stakes were made from wood sticks from Michaels.  The 211 Flat car was acquired in a junk box about a year ago missing it’s trucks. The 200 series trucks were the hardest part to acquire. I bought a rusty lot of trucks off E Bay recently and these are two of them after being restored.  The only thing I’m missing now to finish this car is the stakes and pockets for the flat car and they are on order. It’s funny the replacement stakes and pockets are some of the most expensive components of this restoration, but in the end it will look good.  See the pictures below.
