Yes! That station's georgeous!
There are tons of original Lionel's for sale, but I want to get a new MTH version as I don't care about it being original and love it in perfect shape. Where did you pick that upfrom?
They are sweet stations Terry. Definetly eye candy. Enjoy your new arrival.
This Christmas I added one of these to my growing personal collection of standard gauge. One of the door springs were weak, so I replaced it with a spring from an original station in my parts drawer, so now mine has a tiny-bit of original Lionel in it. I am thinking a switch tower is next.
It's a lousy picture because I had to zoom in and crop the rest of the tree. With the large windows, it looked so empty. I added some appropriate sized park benches to the interior and with some LCT people, it pops to life.

I have one of those gems. I'm thinking of using it on the very small tinplate layout (just a circle) that I plan to keep up year-round in my living room (replacing the Christmas tree). It's my favorite tinplate station, and currently is just on display atop some bookcases. It deserves a more fitting use.
This is my original, not mint but It only cost about $100. I imagine the paint could be polished up to shine, but I love that old patina.
