My scenic advisor (granddaughter) is visiting and I was attempting to explain what I want to do with my proposed steam engine house. Of course, she had no idea what I was talking about. So, please share any photos you may have. Thank you!

On an iPad/tablet, laptop, or desktop, google “railroad steam engine shop,” when the list comes up, hit “images,” and there they are. Many black & white and some color photos. 😉
Also, check out the August/September (Run 244) issue of O Gauge Railroading magazine.
jobacpaul81,
Just my opinion but, I think the original poster may have been asking about steam locomotive SERVICING facilities.

He asked for shops. He gets photos of shops!

Thank you gentlemen, I was looking for weathered steam service facilities. I was attempting to describe to my granddaughter how I wanted to carve out the foam board so that it would appear like there was a pit below the rails. And, to install a wood or concrete like floor alongside the rails. I could tell that I wasn’t doing a good job with my description. So I thought, as the saying goes, “A picture is worth a thousand words”.

Check out Norm Charboneau’s You Tube videos as well as Forum posts. He has numerous Roundhouse and servicing tracks shown. As good as it gets as far as modeling. The level of detail is incredible.
Maybe these might help. If you like any specific location, Paula will be glad to take a few more.
Various buildings serve different purposes.
Thank you Dave.
Bill, they are exceptional photos, thank you very much.
