Atlas O CB&Q F3 ABA (1947-1949)

Where to start? After two years of work (and a lot of procrastination), I finally finished this set. And I adore it, it means a lot to me.

Special thanks to Erik L who was extremely generous with visual and prototype information during the process. Thank you, buddy!  A huge thank you to Mark S, Keystoned Ed, Simon W, PRR Man, HW, J Sethian, Ray, Chris, Pingman, RDUNIII, HIBAR, Mario, Marker and LOS for all their support and amazing input. You guys are awesome., thank you for pushing me to get these right, this set truly marks my transition from casual to prototype modeler.

I'm thankful for Patt Mucci and his detailing line, he was very kind and helpful.

These engines are never getting demoted, that is for sure!

Long live the Q!

Wonderful photos, Santiago.

Like many others, I've followed with enthusiasm your too numerous to list discrete changes you've made to achieve such extraordinary results shown in the above photos.

For those who may not be familiar with what these photos represent in terms of detail, imagination, and creativity in modeling, here's a link to what preceded these photos over the past two years--it's an extraordinary read IMHO.

Thank you for the link and the kind words!

Santiago,

I received my Milwaukee Road Atlas O F7's yesterday.  I posted photos of the A & B units on an F7 thread.  The rivet counters are really critical of my locos saying they are not scale accurate.  I also have Atlas O F3's on order.  Can you provide a side view of your units so I could compare the issues everyone is discussing on my F7's to see if it is also an issue on the F3's?  I know you are 2 rail and I'm 3-rail, but I don't believe there should be much difference in them.

Thanks,

Bob
