This is a model I am giving to a fellow that grew up with my son and worked with me part time while going to college. He is now a dentist and I wanted to give him something to remember the hard work he had done to help pay his tuition.

Here's my project for this Sunday, just finished the Berkshire Valley Drugstore.It has a fully detailed upstairs and downstairs interior with lighting.

Thanks guys!...Great looking projects from all of you....

Muff...the "retaining walls" were made for me by Jim at Bridgeboss.  During another project he and I were working on, I had him make these to increase the height of his arch bridge and to also at the same time allow me to construct his bridge just under the edge of the layout without having to cut out a space for it.  Then I mounted the concrete units on top of and in front of the facia of the layout.  You can see what I did in the picture below.  Since that project, I had him make more so that I could use them as break water walls and retaining walls.  All I had to do is send him a simple drawing and he was willing to accommodate!

Reminds me of the old candy store I used to buy Revell model navy ships at back in the day at Giles & Clove Rd.

The owner, an old lady lived upstairs or in the back.

The soda fountain was always a great hit too!

The interior kit includes not only the downstairs bar stools and backwall lining but the upstairs as well- including the furniture?

Also do the streetlamps work?

 Hi Guys the first photo is what is included in the detail kit number 809

the second photo is what comes in the main kit number 808.

Just an FYI when I built this kit I found the instructions to be confusing, so I set them aside and built this entire model with my past carpentry skills and looking at a lot of photo's of it.

BV kits have a habit of having confusing and sometimes indecipherable instructions. but the end result, if you get there is often worth the aggravation. you did a great job, Alex.

Vulcan, while I was painting these 50  tiny pieces of this kit, I was thinking of you with your expertise you display from week to week. I normally don't do many detailed interior kits. So now I understand the level of difficulty that it takes. You are one of the masters of modeling.

Hey Alan, if your on the bottom where does that leave me lol. I admire all you guys, Alan, Alex M, Alex G, Vulcan, Dave, Sirt. Your modeling skill levels are way above my own but I enjoy seeing your work every week.  Please don't mind if I steal a few tips from you guys every now and then. 

Thanks Alan - I will get a hold of Bridge Boss and see if he will cut me some of those.... actually I have a place on the north end where I am thinking I could take out the bridge I put in and use one of his bridges there - it would look terrific.... we have two of his long bridges as automobile bridges....

I must say I had the privilege of seeing Steve's SIRT layout in person. This is a around the room layout with a center peninsula. This layout looks as real as it gets,
