Well...thought I would end this month's showcase with my latest project.  I just installed the water in my harbor scene and now am laying out the rows of canneries, shippers, etc.  The "water" area is 2 feet wide by 7 feet long.  Once I am satisfied with the locations of each, I will then go back and begin building each of them including a boardwalk / wharf / dock in front and along each structure.  Sorry for the tug, etc. sitting on top of the water...I will use clear silicone to help with placing everything "in" the water.  Also, the large "concrete" bridge supports will be wrapped in what will represent large cut stone or blocks.....still have a ways to go!!

Thanks,

Alan

Thanks guys!

Jerrman....I will do so...

SIRT....thanks, this is a brand new project and so I will need a lot of advise from the experts over here.  I will be constructing the wharf area high enough so that the tops of the sea-side industries will be at the concrete arch level which supports the city above.  By the way, do you have any pictures or examples of what you suggest in front of the City Litho fronts....( which are going to be renamed!)?

Really nice job on the dairy dan. Can you tell more about the vehicles and also i noticed the red light in the outside lamp. Was this to signal  something?

Ahh   the painted rubber tires in the entance to the trailer park

Thanks Patrick.

The trucks, the larger one is a Divco truck that I got from Die-cast Direct and made decals for. The small tank truck I got on ebay last week for $4.50 and free shipping. Had no idea if I could use it but for that price.... Got it Thursday and finished it Saturday. Might be from some Lionel set?

The lights are Walthers but I did not like the way they looked, the same as everyone uses, so I painted them a rust with silver around the bulb. Then used Tamiya paint to tone down the clear bulb. It gives a nice effect when lit. Remember yellow bulbs back in the day. Kept bugs away or so they said
