I haven't posted here in a while and work on the layout has started again so I thought I'd share a few scenery updates I've been working on.
This is an oil storage area near an engine house, I still have detailing to do but it'll have to wait until I get to the next show to pick up some items.
This is the whole corner, I'm also working on the water tower across the tracks.
Hope to share more next week.

Paul,
I really like your tank. That looks great there. Did you add the valves to the tanker connected to the hose? What are you using for the hose...stranded wire? If so, what gauge?
I may try to replicate something similar around my engine house. I initially planned to model refueling with tanker trucks, but adding a tank similar to this may add to that plan.
Alan and Sirt, your work is always great.

Some really good stuff again this week, Ladz.
I've finally got my scratch built street lights installed.
Sure. Thanks, Johan.
Can I drive there overnight?

Yes, no problem. The distance is only about 13500km.
A snip. See you on Saturday.

Thanks Bob, but I can't take credit for this idea. I saw this scene on Frank53's layout and liked it so much that I decided to make something similar as my small homage to his fantastic layout. The valve is really not there, at the bottom of the tank there are two cast in plugs, one I painted a valve on in bright red and the other I drilled a hole to insert the hose and the hose is actually 20 gauge dull black wire.

Paul,
Well it looks good and, when I incorporate it onto my layout, I'll be paying homage to Frank57's layout as well. Again, great little scene/detail for your layout.
Thanks,
Bob
Max, have you told us how you make your street lights? Alan, really think that conveyor structure is terrific! The flatcar load and details is excellent too! I need to get to the point in my railroad where I can start spending some time on the small vignettes like some of you have shown in this week's showcase.

Hi Myles
Here is the thread on my street lights.

Thanks Max! Your process is similar to mine and even simpler. Simple is good! I like using the washers as reflectors. Again... simple. I hadn't thought about using magnet wire. It's smaller gauge then my stranded small gauge insulated wire. The current loads are so small that magnet wire should be just fine.
Thanks, Myles.
