This is the latest of my trestle build. It is still progressing as I add scenery.

Sorry, but all I see is "NO IMAGE FOUND!"
One of my older projects. A simple farm toy layout with some extensive paint work.
Mike:
Excellent work!

I made a little more progress this week on my Weaver 40' boxcar 5-car custom painting, detailing & decaling/lettering project. All 5 underframe/floor assemblies are now weighted, primed and painted in their base color and are now ready for final assembly. I also lettered up the 3rd of 5 cars, this one for the DL&W. Two more to go! Here are a few photos of this week's work...

Super Job on the building
Thanks, Steve.
I have mentioned before that I belong to a small group of O scale guys/gals (Bradshaw Mountain Hi_Railers in Prescott AZ) who run trains for the kids at a local mall once a month. Every year we have a free raffle for Christmas. We only allow kids to hand in raffle forms. This year we were donated some trains but needed a train board. Somehow the guys found out I own a table saw........................
The bench work is done. Pictures are shown below with some comments. The only caveat was the trainboard had to be knock down and smaller than usual (thank God!). The table top is roughly 4 x 6 feet.
The benchwork consists of two independent leg assemblies made with 2x4 and 1x4 pine. The cross braces are 1x4 pine that were notched to fit into pre-sawn notches on the leg assembly.
The masonite pieces are needed to reinforce the cross braces otherwise being soft pine they will break down the road.
The table top frame was built from 1x6 and 1x2 pine. The top sits on the benchwork using the two end 1x2 strippings. The strippings will also support the table top.
The first piece to go was a 1/4 inch plywood board called underlayment. I was originally looking for masonite but Home Depot did not have it in stock. The plywood was glued and brad nailed to the frame.
Next came the pink foam. Since the top is not attached to the benchwork we will have to glue the foam in place. Up next we will attach the grass mat and start building a layout! Right now it looks like either O27 or O31 gauge. We would like to incorporate a spur but need a manual turnout so if anyone has an operational O27 or O31 right or left turnout they would like to donate please holler! I will pay for shipping.
I will hopefully have more pictures next week.

Joe, I have some 027 turnouts with controllers (that can either be used or not) that I would be willing to donate to your cause. Will have to check and see how many right or left there would be in total. I should have that information for you in the next couple of days if interested.
Gene:
Excellent!
The grass mat went on yesterday. Last time I used a mat I attached it with double sticky tape. This time we used mat adhesive. I am not sure how well this went - we did our best to smooth out the mat but lots of bumps. I will have a better idea when I pull the bricks off today.

Max that's agreat building. You should do a how to on the doors and servo installation.
Thanks, Joe. I'll see what I can do.
JOE,
That is a very nice thing that you and your club members do.

Alan:
Thanks
Joe
The "raffle table" is proceeding very nicely. It has been stained and transported to a friend's house. Right now we are laying track (thanks to Gene Dickerson for the turnouts - they are beautiful!), then comes the accessories.
PS - looks like I have been volunteered for a yearly table....................
Next year I will make the leg assemblies in the long direction. Because it is a 'knock down' design there is a little wobble in the long direction.
