After receiving these handsome PA's well over a year ago, was finally able to test them out on a nice large layout last week. This is in Hendersonville NC on Steve Maier's exquisite set up that is one of the finest 3 rail home layouts I've seen. The locomotives are terrific and performed very well. Look carefully at the myriad of small details on both the engines themselves and the layout. Enjoy...

The coupler opening in the pilot looks smaller than the 3 rail engines I have seen pictures of. Did you install a 2 R pilot?
Both of these are powered with sound, no dummies available. The small opening pilots are included to be mounted by the owner which replace the large openings that come with it. I plan to install Kadees when I can.

Very nice. I still haven't had a chance to run any of mine yet! Was going to at the TCA convention but didn't have time to break them out. Love the D&H scheme. One of the prettier paint schemes on an already great looking locomotive.
Great shots! One of those hairs-on-the-back-of-the-neck moments - taking pics on the main outside D&H's Colonie Shops, the PAs approaching blowing the horns (1976). Got a couple of nice Lionel PAs at a good price in D&H waiting to be 2-railed

IMHO the D&H warbonnet livery is one of the most attractive there is! The layout is wonderful as well ... lots of acute attention to detail!
