I remember the first time I met Danny about 6 years ago. He came to our office in Campbell to help us unload a container. He was very interested in the electronics and asked lots of questions. I asked him if he wants to learn more, and help us in repairs. He was very enthusiastic.

At the time, Gary was managing our repairs and customer service, and he took Danny under his wing and taught him the ropes.

A few years ago he got a technical degree in Electrical Engineering. It was only a matter of time that he would find a good opportunity in Silicon Valley. I told him, you gotta look out for yourself. If you find a good opportunity, go for it.

A few weeks ago he announced he was leaving for an opportunity at Loral Aerospace. I am so proud of Danny. He grew in many ways and helped keep the customer service department at Sunset Models in great shape. We and our customers will miss him, and hopefully we will see his progress years to come. Bravo Danny!

Luckily for us, we found a new man to manage our service department. While he is new to Sunset Models he has 50 years of model railroading experience. As a youngster he was a Lionel repair station back in the mechanical conventional days. He is still learning where we keep all the parts, and how we are organized but soon you will experience Steve Bull's competent expertise.  Lately he has been working on the Pleasanton's club layout, adding to their layout.

We are blessed with many good people in the Bay Area that want to be involved in the business and hobby. I am happy to welcome Steve to our team.

Welcome, Steve Bull.

Wow, both happy and sad at the same time to hear this! Danny was an amazing guy, he always helped me with my parts needs and would never accept any monetary compensation. I sure will miss him but it's so good that he has a major career opportunity to explore. Congrats and farewell!

I guess I will have to get in contact with Steve soon, since Danny was actually in the middle of another one of my parts requests when this opportunity came up

It is not often that an employee leaving a firm is recognized like you have for Danny. It says as much about Danny as it does for you, Scott. I give you a big pat on the back for being someone who has a genuine concern for their employees and expresses this so eloquently.

Best wishes to Danny as he embarks on his new career.

Very well said....and I concur most heartily.  Good luck to Danny.  Kudos to Scott, an exemplary manager of people!
