I've searched and failed...but, looking for a nice tutorial with photos posted concerning this process over one year ago. The gentleman provided a good source for the super caps he used as well.
Perhaps one of you guys posted it and/or can point me to it.

As long as it is MTH just buy the correct battery and install it like a 9 volt. Lionel has a kit that has to be wired in so it can charge.
The story goes that instructions were posted here for making your own. A forum sponsor who sells them pre-made squawked, so the instructions were removed from the forum.
My story goes that the gentleman pointed me to a source for these things...in Taiwan, I believe...I purchased the and installed a few. They work great as far as I can tell...though someone on here will see this post and probably tell me I am going to destroy all my engines...and I wanted purchase some more.
I simply wanted to review and print his instructions for inserting this item in the battery circuit.
Batteries are nice...but, I am weary of them.
