I've had a little sucess on straights driving them through from the oppsite side with piano wire (ask your hobby shop or music shop)
They are copper so careful drilling might be possible; copper is a soft metal and you should cut through it much easier that the steel rail around them.
Hi,
Music wire from the opposite end of he rail is the sure and correct way to remove broken and pins that have been driven in flush with the ends of the rails. Go to Ace Hardware with a piece of track and buy some music wire that just slips easily into an open end of a piece of Super O track. Cut the wire to about 1" longer than the rail. Slide the wire in from the open end until it touches the inside of the pin and then tap the wire and the pin will just walk out as easily as can be!!
