#SwitcherSaturday is back!

Lots of us out there love switchers, so lets keep #SwitcherSaturday going for a bit!

Last week's link is here: https://ogrforum.com/t...saturday-2015-apr-18

Today (well, yesterday to be honest) at the Murnane house we have my Lionel NYC #1665 0-4-0 switcher with some friends doing a bit of carpet central switching.

Enjoy your weekend and if you get a chance, please post some pictures or video of your favorite switchers!

Best...Rich Murnane

p.s. Miss the post on Saturday? NO BIG DEAL, just keep posting until the next #SwitcherSaturday

p.s.s. Any good switchers for sale at York? ;-) Feel free to take some pics of those and post here too!

The pictures in the catalog have no tether, I wonder what they really look like?  Not sure it matters all that much though, as I'm pretty much priced out of purchasing them!

Regardless, great picture RustyKamel, I love seeing your pics each week!

Best...Rich

My original goal when I got the K-line Porter was to convert it into a Darjeeling Himalayan Railway class B. They still run them on the UNESCO World Heritage Site railroad. It is often refered to as the "toy train" because of it's sublime scenery and tight loops to gain elevation. These engines run with a large crew including a few sanders in the front on the running beam to sand the tracks.

The  K-line engine is so over scale it would be a fun project to convert the huge cab into a coal saddle tender but it is in the back of a long line of other projects on my work table. I also picked up a Thomas series Annie and Clarabel to become stand in passenger cars.

There is a slight difference in color but both have lived lives other than shelf queens.  They are also 12 or so years difference in age.  What I find ironic is that the C&O 624 represents a healthy Lionel whereas the AT&SF 634 is a sickly image of a former great.  To be fair, both run really well as expected.
