The first Southern Division TCA Meet in Florida of 2014 will be held Saturday, January 25th at the MinnReg Building, 6340 126th Avenue North, Largo, Florida.  Largo is in the Tampa Bay Area near St. Petersburg.  This building houses several other train shows each year so it is well known to the public as a location for train shows.

The meet will be open to TCA members only at 9 AM and to the public starting at 10 AM. The meet closes at 3 PM.  Admission is free for Southern Division TCA members and $5.00 for others.  Children are free with paying adults.  Plenty of free parking is available.

There will be operating layouts in several scales plus a new attraction will be a Repair Clinic.  If you have an engine problem, bring it along – our very experienced repair person will help with your problem.

There will be door prizes, kids only prizes plus every child 6 and under will receive a gift when they enter.

And speaking of attractions for kids there will be:

  • Train Drag Races (Kids can bring their own engine or use one of ours)
  • a Scavenger Hunt (Complete the hunt for train items and win a prize)
  • a Kid’s Korner area, where we have toys for kids to play with
  • And ‘Operation Lifesaver’, a safety booth operated by (real) railroad personnel, will have a booth demonstrating safety around railroad property and have souvenirs for kids.
