I've searched the forum for answers to this question and while I've found references to it in threads from 2016, nothing definitive to my question.

The instructions for my EOB Rev C board state it is equipped with a built potentiometer that keeps the RS 4 at full volume.  If you want to add a potentiometer to the board you need to remove two small surface mount resisters to allow installing a 10k  ohm potentiometer. Then it says to call for instructions on how to do so. Of course, no one is going to answer that phone now.

1. Can anyone provide information on how and what two resisters to remove?

2. Does anyone have a part number and source for the 10k ohm potentiometer I can use?

Adding the volume control will be helpful as the lowest setting using the Cab1 is still too loud for my current use.

Many Thanks

Ward

Good question. The two surface mount resistors that need to be removed are near the connector when you would plug in the 10k pot, under the railsounds power supply.  I don’t have a board near me to take a pic and won’t u til tomorrow.  I’m sure @gunrunnerjohn or someone else can point you in the right direction.  10k pots can be had from Lionel, or digikey, mouser.  Someone will chime in on a pot as well.
