Actually, I was planning on going to Norfolk for LCCA Convention, but decided on going to Atlanta instead.  One of the tours is The Great Locomotive Chase.  Other highlights include the Tennessee Valley RR, Marietta Trolley, Chattanooga River Dinner Cruise, Atlanta Aquarium, and Coke Plant. Anyone else going to HOTLANTA???  Wonder if the last week in June will be more humid than what I am used to North of Baltimore???

I've lived in Atlanta for 9 years now and have not experienced any weather here that was as hot as it was in Baltimore in early July 2010.  My youngest son, my sister and I drove down from my old hometown in central Pennsylvania to visit the B&O Museum and I swear to God it was 110 in the shade and not a breath of air stirring.  It was so hot, that a box of crayons dropped in the parking lot by some kid had turned into a multi-colored "soup".

Typical weather for us here in Atlanta in late June is high's in the low to mid-'90's with a better than even chance of an afternoon or evening thunderstorm.  While it does get humid here, Atlanta humidity can't hold a candle to what I experienced the 19 years we lived in Houston, TX.
