So, I purchased an MTH Rail King set for fun last year. It was the Union Pacific SD70Ace compressed version with three intermodal cars and trailers. An End of train device and track. The set was really nice and quite frankly, I was pretty impressed with the whole affair. So, I set it up and ran it for days, then one day, the right ditch light was SOL. I was not upset or anything. After all, who said railroading was a perfect business. I contacted MTH. I set up an appointment and off I went. I arrived with my SD70 and they repaired it within one hour. I was so impressed by the people there. Very professional and very polite. The place is huge. A warehouse and repair facility that would rival any Porsche Dealerships repair facility. I mean there were trains every where.

Personally, this is awesome for me, but one fellow who resides in Alaska cursed me no end......LOL He had to wait for several weeks (which is not bad for a major repair). MTH is a good company with excellent products in my humble honest opinion. Though I realize not everyone will have the same results, I suspect the fact I live so close to them is a bonus for me.

Hello Dave. Yea, allot of folks don't get the tour. I was just lucky. That's all. I realize it was not a normal thing, but it was really nice of them to open the doors a tad and allow me the privilege of seeing what they do.

Anyway, my locomotive was repaired and really, that was what really made me feel good that day.

LOL is right!!

I'm about 15-20 minutes away and have stopped by the parts/repair door a half dozen times over the years for parts or to get something repaired.  Always a pleasant experience.  I feel lucky to live close.  I miss Williams being in the area but they hardly ever had the parts you needed anyway.
