Just acquired a General style 4-4-0 MTH engine, and the traction tire is not long for this world. I'd rather eventually replace it if I can find another. Does anyone know the part number for such a tire? I found Lionel General style tires for sale, but not MTH. Any ideas?

Tire chart and a pair of metric calipers. You take the measurement of the rim diameter in mm, you look at the range for a tire chart that matches that diameter- or if an MTH engine- they are listed. https://mthtrains.com/sites/de...ire_Chart_020414.pdf
You then can buy bags of universal tires from MTH Parts and Sales using the number system.

Being the "Wander" set was a "General" engine, most likely it is DE0000027
Also, MTH has parts breakdowns- example General https://www.mthpartsandsales.c...lists/235?type=lists
and yes, for the General it lists DE0000027
If you are going to own MTH engines, I myself would begin familiarizing myself with the excellent resource that is MTH parts- not just for buying parts, but actual parts breakdowns, tips and other information https://www.mthpartsandsales.com/shop/documents

Thank you so much Vernon! Hugely helpful. I didn't realize that MTH even still sold parts. This is a great resource.
